Modules Membrane separation technology without the use of chemicals

Rochem membrane-based technologies meet the demands of difficult to treat water.

For sea water desalination and waste water treatment Rochem offers the Rochem Spacer Tube (ST) Module and the Disc Tube (DT) Module. The ST and DT Modules are used for fresh water generation and are supplied with either reverse osmosis or nanofiltration membranes providing drinking water from highly-polluted waters. The DT Module uses reverse osmosis to desalinate seawater and the ST Module is supplied with either reverse osmosis or nanofiltration membranes in order to deal with difficult to treat water.

The Flat Membrane (FM) Module has been especially developed for the separation of bacteria, viruses and fine solids from water and waste water with a high potential for fouling. The FM Module is used for treating difficult waste water and is used in the Bio-Filt Membrane Bioreactor (MBR).

ROCHEM Flat Membrane (FM) Module®

Developed especially for the separation of bacteria, viruses and fine solids

The FM Module operates across a wide range of technologies including Ultrafiltration (UF), Microfiltration (MF), nanofiltration (NF) and low pressure reverse osmosis (LPRO) allowing flexibility in application. The module is ideal for feed flow with higher suspended solids and uses a 3mm spacer in the membrane cushion to eliminate clogging.

The FM Module has low specific energy consumption at high and steady state fluxes. The vertical placement of the modules combined with a feed air/water flushing allows membrane cleaning and stable operation over long periods of time without the need for chemical agents.

Areas of application:

  • Treatment of biological effluents
  • Chemical waste water treatment
  • Grey water treatment
  • Classic water treatment on ships
  • Separation of emulsions

ROCHEM Disc Tube (DT) Module®

Developed for the desalination and purification of seawater, brackish water and city water

The DT Module uses reverse osmosis for molecular separation, desalination and purification of liquids. The module involves a total reverse osmosis system resulting in a module that operates effectively and economically even at increased turbidity and Silt Density Index levels.

ROCHEM Disc Tube Grand (DTG) Module®

The DTG Module offers a 30% greater capacity compared to the DT Module.
